one more summer academy

Instruction That Creates Separation
Eight-week program running June 9 – July 30 (second week of June through the end of July).
One More Academy is an instruction-first summer development program built for players who want
to improve their tools, understand the evaluation process, and prepare for the next level. This
program is designed for high school players preparing for the upcoming season, including incoming freshmen entering their first high school season.
Too often summer baseball becomes a schedule
of games and showcases without enough time dedicated to real development. This program is
designed to bring instruction back into the process by combining structured practices, live game environments, and athletic development through One More Training.
On-field development will take place at Del Oro High School and surrounding local high school
fields, with hitting and strength training sessions held at One More Training.
Players preparing for Area Codes, Perfect Game (PG) events, summer showcases, and the
upcoming high school season will benefit from the instruction and development provided throughout
the program. A major focus of the academy is helping players understand what college coaches
and professional scouts evaluate during games, workouts, and showcases while developing the
tools that matter.
Limited roster spots to maintain a high-instruction environment.
summer academy weekly Schedule
Tuesday
Structured team practice at Del Oro High School and surrounding local high school fields followed
by speed and strength training at One More Training with Brett Voth. Players will work on defensive
fundamentals, situational baseball, and overall skill development before transitioning into athletic
development training.
Wednesday
Simulated game environment with live at-bats. Pitchers will throw approximately 25–30 pitches,
which will be walked through with Tyler Robertson, former Major League pitcher with the Minnesota
Twins and former MLB scout with the New York Yankees.
Tyler will be positioned behind the mound during the session, providing in-game strategy and
instruction to pitchers. This session will act as the pitcher’s weekly bullpen while giving hitters live
at-bats in a competitive setting.
Once pitchers reach their 25–30 pitch limit, innings will be rolled to allow multiple pitchers and
hitters to get live reps. Hitters will receive multiple live at-bats and defensive game reps.
Thursday
Hitting session at One More Training featuring live arms, Junior Hack Attack machines, and hitting
instruction and guidance. Following the hitting session, players will complete their second weekly
speed and strength training session with Brett Voth at One More Training.
Weekly Time Commitment
Players can expect approximately 8 hours of development per week. Field sessions will take place
mid-morning (approximately 10:00–12:00) to help avoid the summer heat, followed by strength
training.
Pitcher Only Option
Pitchers who prefer to focus strictly on pitching development may participate in a pitcher-only option
which includes:
• Wednesday live bullpen / simulated game session
• Strength training on Tuesday and Thursday with Brett Voth at One More Training
Pitcher-only players will not participate in hitting or Tuesday field practice.
